Catherine Mayer, CEO

Catherine created MayViation, an aviation and industry collaboration consulting company, in 2010. Over the past three decades she has devoted her time to helping airlines, airports and other industry partners offer the best services and solutions. She remains a well-respected change agent for the aviation industry focusing on bringing industry partners together to maximize the business and operational benefits of information technology solutions at airports.

Catherine, a well-known leader in the aviation industry, continues her active participation in Airports Council International (ACI), including serving as the World Business Partner observer on the ACI Europe Airport Board of Directors (2012-present) and as a past Chairman on the ACI World Business Partners Advisory Board. She was the first non-airport member to be appointed as an observer to the ACI World Governing Board (2006/2011). Catherine also remains very active as a speaker at leading industry forums and events.

Previously Catherine led SITA’s Airport Services solution line for ten years, including the financial results of the global business, strategy, product portfolio, implementation, and customer satisfaction. Prior to SITA she spent five years creating and developing ARINC’s airport business unit, 15 years working for Groupe Air France and Mexicana Airlines, and testified on aviation security to the U.S. Congress post 9/11. Catherine remains involved with other industry organizations such as the International Air Transport Association (IATA), American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and Airports Consultants Council (ACC).

Catherine’s unique understanding, vast experience and worldwide contacts with both international and domestic airports, airlines and aviation stakeholders are what enable her to contribute a unique perspective to the aviation industry.
